Noncapitalist trailers

Henkel Street doesn't run trailers before our screenings. While it's certainly nice to not be bombarded with ads for local accountants and driving ranges, it does leave a gap in the traditional moviegoing experience that I think we can make use of.

Part of the reason I've started VoxOffice is to practice the skill of community engagement. As such, I'd like to use the time normally filled by trailers to promote good causes, mutual aid, and noncapitalist endeavours.

If you'd like me to point twenty sets of eyes towards something worthwhile, get in touch. Maybe you're running a marathon to fundraise for charity, maybe a friend is trying to get their dog-walking business off the ground, maybe you're putting on a queer retelling of Hamlet and want to drum up attendance.

Obviously I don't want VoxOffice to become a tacky commercialised event, so I'll be selective in what I promote. Consider it a personal guarantee that VoxOffice trailers will always be fun, relevant, and uncompensated.
